Advancing Measurement of Equity and Patient-Centered Care to Improve Health Care Quality Submitted: 8/20/2007
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation -- Advancing Measurement of Equity and Patient-Centered Care to Improve Health Care Quality The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is seeking proposals for projects that will improve the understanding of how to measure equity and patient-centered care and the role of both in promoting quality. Three topic areas are to be addressed with this grant: 1) Performance Measurement, 2) Patients’ Experience with Care and Survey Instruments, and 3) Shared Decision-making and Diverse Populations. A total of approximately $3 million is available for grants of up to two years for policy-relevant research in the topics listed above. Eligible applicants include interdisciplinary research teams that include investigators focused on racial and ethnic disparities. Preference will be given to applicants that are either public entities or nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status.
