U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) -- Blue Skyways Collaborative Clean School Bus USA Grant Opportunity (U.S. EPA Regions 6 & 7) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is accepting applications for its Blue Skyways Collaborative (U.S. EPA Regions 6 & 7) grant program. The purpose of the program is to reduce emissions from diesel engines in the central corridor of North America through retrofits, engine upgrades, cleaner fuel modifications, or engine or bus replacement for diesel school buses in Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Award amounts are between $50,000-$200,000. Eligible applicants include state and local government such as school districts, nonprofit organizations, and local and federally recognized Indian Tribal Governments in U.S. EPA Regions 6 & 7 who can provide at least 5% of the cost.
