Foundation for Child Development -- Changing Faces of America’s Children Young Scholars Program
The Foundation for Child Development is accepting applications for its Changing Faces of America’s Children Young Scholars Program. The purpose of the program is to stimulate basic and policy-relevant research focused on the early education, health and well-being of immigrant children by supporting investigators in the behavioral and social sciences or in an allied professional field pursuing this research.
Award amounts are up to $150,000 over a maximum period of three years. Eligible applicants must: 1) have earned their Ph.D. within 15 years or completed their M.D. residency within 7 years of June 30, 2007; 2) hold a Ph.D. or its equivalent in one of the behavioral and social sciences or in an allied professional field (e.g., public policy, public health, education, social work, nursing, medicine); 3) be full-time, tenure-track faculty at an American college or university located in the United States; 4) be either untenured or recently tenured (within the past four years - special consideration will be given to candidates who are more junior in their careers); 5) be a United States citizen, legal permanent resident, or have employment authorization from the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services for the duration of the award (candidates from diverse background - e.g. ethnicity, discipline - are encouraged to apply); and 6) propose a project for which the applicant is the sole principle investigator.
