Dollar General -- Family Literacy Grants
The Dollar General is accepting applications for its Family Literacy Grants program to support literacy programs that include adult education instruction (adult education instruction, adult basic education, and GED preparation, and/or English for speakers of other languages), children’s education, parent and child time, and parenting classes that teach parents to be the primary teacher for their child.
Award amounts are up to $20,000. Eligible applicants include organizations that provide direct literacy-based programs and services within 20 miles of a Dollar General store, have not received funding from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation for the past two consecutive years, and have met all reporting requirements from previous Dollar General Literacy Foundation grants.
Deadline: March 4, 2008
