National Institutes for Health -- Federal Research Grants for Oral Health Promotion across the Life Span (R01 and R21) Award amounts vary; budgets must follow the NIH (R01) grant mechanism. Eligible applicants include, but are not limited to the following: public/state controlled or private institution of higher education, nonprofit organizations, small business, for-profit organizations (other than small business), state government, historically black colleges and universities, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian serving institutions, and faith-based or community based organizations. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is accepting applications for its Pilot and Feasibility Studies on Oral Health Promotion Research across the Life Span (R21) grant program. The purpose of the program is to support health promotion research of life span oral health and prevention of diseases and their sequelae from perspectives such as maternal and child health, adolescent and young adult health, and health in subgroups of the population with health disparities. Award amounts will vary; applicants must follow the NIH Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant (R21) award mechanism and submit a budget of up to $275,000 over an R21 two-year period in $25,000 modules with no more than $200,000 requested for any one year.
