Mercy Corps -- Global Action Awards
The Mercy Corps is accepting applications for its Global Action Awards program. The purpose of the program is to honor high school students who have led projects that improved conditions for people in developing countries or that raised awareness in their own communities about global poverty.
Award amounts are $5,000 for higher education or a charitable cause of the recipient’s choice, and a ceremony in New York City. Eligible applicants include U.S. high school students or Spring 2007 high school graduates.
Deadline: January 31, 2008
