Institute for Interactive Journalism -- New Voices Grants
The Institute for Interactive Journalism, in collaboration with the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, is accepting applications for its New Voices grant program to support start-up, journalistically sound, regularly updated, participatory news initiatives that benefit a defined geographic or special-interest community.
Award amounts are up to $17,000 over two years: $12,000 start-up funding for Year 1, and $5,000 for Year 2 if the project was successfully launched in year 1. Eligible applicants include tax-exempt educational institutions and nonprofit organizations.
Deadline: February 20, 2008
