Safe Schools/Healthy Students Program

U.S. Department of Education -- Safe Schools/Healthy Students Program
The U.S. Department of Education is accepting applications for the Safe Schools/Healthy Students program to support the implementation and enhancement of integrated, comprehensive community-wide plans that create safe and drug-free schools and promote healthy childhood development.
Eligible applicants include local educational agencies (LEAs), including charter schools that are considered LEAs under State law, and consortia of LEAs. The estimated number of awards is 55. Approximately up to $750,000 will be awarded to an LEA with fewer than 5,000 students; up to $1,500,000 for an LEA with at least 5,000 but fewer than 35,000 students; and up to $2,250,000 for an LEA with at least 35,000 students.
