Center for Effective Discipline -- SpankOut Day USA Mini-Grants
The Center for Effective Discipline, in collaboration with End Physical Punishment of Children USA, is accepting applications for its SpankOut Day USA Mini-Grants. The purpose of the mini-grants are to replace physical punishment of children with non-violent alternatives by supporting educational events and programs that reach at least 20-30 people, particularly at-risk populations (teens or young adults, grandparents raising children alone, adults with a high school education, adult men, mothers raising children alone, or teens and adults with backgrounds of abuse).
Award amounts are $250 (there are 20 available for Ohio, and up to 20 more available nationwide). Eligible applicants for the Ohio-specific awards are Ohio non-profit organizations, schools, churches, and Family and Children First Councils; eligible applicants for the nationwide awards are U.S. non-profit organizations, schools, and churches.
Deadline: December 10, 2007
Please Note: The Center for Health and Health Care in Schools (CHHCS) does not administer this funding opportunity.
