National Institutes of Health -- Translational Research for the Prevention and Control of Diabetes and Obesity (R18)
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is accepting
applications for its Translational Research for the Prevention and
Control of Diabetes and Obesity (R18) grant program. The purpose of the
program is to support development of effective and sustainable
interventions to prevent and control diabetes and obesity, including
those focused on children and adolescents. Award amounts vary; applicants must follow the
NIH Research Demonstration and Dissemination Projects (R18) grant
mechanism and submit a budget for at most 5 years that has costs
limited to at most $500,000 in any single year unless prior approval is
obtained. Eligible applicants include, but are not limited to the
following: public/state controlled or private institution of higher
education, nonprofit organizations, small business, for-profit
organizations (other than small business), state government,
historically black colleges and universities, Alaska Native and Native
Hawaiian serving institutions, and faith-based or community based
organizations. Deadline: September 25, 2007 (Cycle III)
