States are Backing Away from Abstinence-Only Programs and are Looking for Alternatives (5/13/2008)

The U.S. Public Health Service has released Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence: 2008 Update. The clinical guide identifies new counseling and medication treatments that are effective for helping people quit smoking.
The most recent Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System on Gardasil is available. The Gardasil vaccine protects against some strains of human papillomavirus that may cause cervical cancer. The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System updates twice per year.
