Teenage Girls Who Exercise May Get Protection from Premenopausal Breast Cancer (5/22/2008)
Women have long been advised that exercise lowers the risk of premenopausal breast cancer. A study published by the Journal of the National Cancer Institute has found that starting exercise as young as 12-years-old provides some protection for later in life.

The Champions for Inclusive Communities’ issue brief, Equality of Health for CSHCN: Contributing Factors and Help for Families and Communities, provides an overview of the status of the literature and demographics with respect to our understanding of health disparities and access to care for children with special health care needs (CSHCN).
The National Survey on Drug Use and Health Report, Major Depressive Episode among Youths Aged 12 -17 in the United States: 2004-2006, reveals that one in every 12 adolescents experienced major depression in the past year and adolescent females are twice as likely as their male counterparts to suffer a major depressive episode.
The report recently published by Advocates for Youth, Science and Success: Sex Education and Other Programs That Work to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections, describes programs proven to affect the behaviors or sexual health outcomes of young people.
