Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota's Center for Prevention has announced a new funding initiative that will award contracts to eligible Minnesota-based organizations to develop culturally tailored approaches to reduce health inequities related to tobacco use, exposure to secondhand smoke, healthy eating, and active living. The goal of this funding program is to create sustainable efforts that will "make healthier choices the easier choices for Minnesotans."
Approximately ten awards ranging from $25,000 to $75,000 per year are available for select applicants. Nonprofit organizations, for-profit groups, government entities, and tribal governments based in Minnesota are eligible to apply.
Deadline: November 1, 2012
