School Readiness Impact Initiative (Louisiana)

The purpose of this funding is to replicate or expand early childhood development programs in low-income communities within the ten-parish capital area in Louisiana. CAUW seeks to achieve the following outcomes: improve birth outcomes; engage, educate, and support parents to meet the needs of their young children; ensure that all children have access to quality child care and preschool; meet children's physical health and safety needs; and meet children's social-emotional health needs.

Eight to twelve sub-grants ranging from $100,000-250,000 will be awarded to select applicants. Nonprofit organizations that serve constituents solely within the ten parishes of the CAUW Greater Baton Rouge area (East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, West Feliciana, Pointe Coupee, Iberville, Livingston, Ascension, St. James, and St. Helena) are eligible to apply.
