This funding opportunity seeks to employ innovative research to identify mechanisms of influence and/or promote positive sustainable health behaviors in children and youth. Applications should target social and cultural factors, including, but not limited to: schools, families, communities, population, food industry, age-appropriate learning tools and games, social media, social networking, technology and mass media services for children and adolescents who are experiencing early symptoms of mental health problems. The goal of this opportunity is to promote research that identifies and enhances processes that promote sustainable positive behavior or changes social and cultural norms that influence health and future health behaviors.
