The Symposium on Autism Spectrum Disorders & Transition was the first event of its kind – convening faculty, researchers, and other staff within the GWU community – to present current work surrounding youth with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) who are in the period of transition from high school to adulthood. The symposium was also an opportunity to engage in roundtable discussions about strategic and meaningful ways to collaborate for future initiatives, including ones that will support the transition experience for individuals with an ASD on campus and in our community.
The symposium was funded by The Carbonell Family Foundation and was coordinated under the Autism Transition Project. Speaker bios are available here.
