“The National Health and Nutrition Examination Study gathers annual data on the health of children and adolescents across the country. This year, researchers assessed whether children are drinking enough water, and found that over half weren’t adequately hydrated. Almost 25% reported not drinking any plain water. Without proper hydration, children may experience cognitive and emotional issues that impact school performance and well being. School-based interventions can be implemented to improve access to drinking water and help keep kids hydrated and healthy.”
